Solvar Artificial Silk Company

Solvar Artificial Silk Company is a British startup company, manufacturing lyocell artificial silk fibre in the UK.

We created a logo, strapline and website to help establish a presence and attract funding and support.

Lyocell is made with sustainable natural material (wood pulp) and non-toxic reusable solvents, which sets it apart from similar artficial fibres that could be considered to be environmentally friendly.

We devised the seemingly incongruous strapline ‘Naturally man-made’ to reconcile environmentally sound manufacturing methods with the negative connotations of man-made interventions.
